Happy Baisakhi 2023

Delhi Public School, SMVDU, Katra, Celebrated Baisakhi with enthusiasm on Thursday,13.04.2023. The Pre- primary wing of the school was decorated depicting the harvest season. Children were explained about the importance of the festival by showcasing the Punjabi culture. They were dressed in colourful Punjabi traditional attires. The motive behind the celebrations was to apprise the children of their rich culture and heritage.
Students were Dressed in typical folk attire and presented a dance item to the tunes of bhangra. The students were told about the Baisakhi festival and they also did sponge painting on Baisakhi Festival. The children had a lot of fun and enjoyed dancing with their teachers and friends.

Special Assembly was also conducted by the students of class 6th on the occasion of Baisakhi and Dr. BR Ambedkar's Jayanti. Students presented an act on Dr. Ambedkar's life and through which they were told about the legacy of one of India's most iconic social reformers and politicians and his contributions towards country.

The assembly concluded with the National Anthem, where all the students and teachers sang with honour and pride!
